Our new online classroom! You guys should be proud!

I thought this little cartoon kind of reminded me of me lately. I am SO INTO this blog! It's so addicting!

Wednesday and Thursday in class this week we will do "stations" in class for half of the block. In one of the stations, you will be asked to have your group post to the blog.

THIS IS THE POST YOU RESPOND TO!
Please use the following header format for your post:
Block ____ Group #_______

Over break, many asked if there would be posts. I will be traveling and seeing family a little bit over the week off, but I will be checking in on the computer and will have a couple posts that will corrsepond with what you are reading.

And...in response to the "Why are you giving us so much homework?" question. Well, here it is. We are plugging along and I don't want to slow down in TKaM. Reading over break will assure that you guys stay "in the zone." And, I know for a fact, none of this work is too hard for any of you, right? (we also might weasel our way out of the 8-15 quiz as long as the blogging and class discussion continues to flourish).

Happy posting! Great job guys!

The ending is ironic in that the necklace that madame loisel actually borrowed and lost a fake necklace. The ironic part is that she returned a 40,000 franc necklace not knowing that the original necklace was fake.

The story is ironic, because she spends a real and expensive necklace to replace the lost one that was actually fake.

The ending is ironic because she finds out that the necklace that she borrowed was really fake and was only worth 500 franks. When she thought it was real and bought a real dimond necklace for alot of money.

The ending is ironic in "The Gift of the Magi" because the main characters both bought expenzive girfts for each other when neither of them had any real use. They sacrificed their favorite items for each other. In "the Necklace", the ending is ironic because the main character who is poor, borrows a friends necklace to make her seem rich. She loses the necklace and buys her friend a new one. She then finds out that the necklace she borrowed had a much smaller value, therfore she was spending more money than she should've.

In the Neclace it was ironic that the neclace was fake but she spent all of her time re-paying her friend for a real one.
The irony in the Gift of the Magi was that both Jim and Della went out of thir way to scarifice their posesions for each other. The possesions they scraficed made them unable to use the gifs they recieved.

The GIft of ther Magi was ironic because they both sell their most prized possesion to get a gift for the other and then the gifts are useless. In the necklace it is ironic becuase Madame spends thousands of francs to replace a necklace that was really only worth about 400 francs

I love miss holmes......The Gift of The Magi is an ironic story because both the husband and the wife buy an accesory for a thing that the other person sells to but a present. The Necklace is an ironic story because the necklace taht she ends up borrowing is actually fake and is not expensive. Group 1 1ac

"The Gift of the Magi" is ironic because Della sold her hair to buy Jim a chain for his pocket watch, but he ended up selling his pocket watch to get expensive combs for Della's hair. "The Necklace" is ironic because when Madame Loisel lost her friends necklace, she thought it was real diamonds, so she bought a real diamond necklace in place of the one she lost, but in the end, she found out that the original necklace was fake.
